Specialized Services

Paver Sealing and Locking of Sand


Say goodbye to grass and weeds between your pavers! If you have pavers which have sand between the blocks, Hydro Scrub can power wash your pavers to remove dirt, grime, weeds, grass, etc., reapply sand to any areas where the sand is thin or no longer exists and can then seal the pavers while simultaneously "locking" the sand in place....all in one day! The results are as if you used polymeric sand during the initial installation of the pavers! This is a recent breakthrough in technology and is a true godsend to those with pavers!


Masonry Efflorescence Removal


Internal water migrating through and evaporating from the surface of a masonry constructed item is what causes efflorescence. White, powdery or fluffy efflorescence is called primary efflorescence. Crystalline deposits are called secondary efflorescence. If you have exterior masonry efflorescence removal needs on a brick (clay or concrete), stone, stucco, or block surface, Hydro Scrub can remove the efflorescence and restore the original beauty of your masonry constructed item. We work with small items, such as mail box holders, driveway entrance features, or outdoor sign supports, to walls or entire houses or buildings. Masonry Waterproofing


If you have an obvious efflorescence problem or one that is just starting to show, it is an indication that water is finding its way through your masonry and causing the efflorescence. Most likely, the masonry surface was never "sealed" or otherwise waterproofed. Hydro Scrub provides masonry waterproofing services for all exterior masonry items. Generally, these services are provided after conducting efflorescence removal, but proactive clients request waterproofing before experiencing efflorescence problems.

Owners of masonry items should understand that if their masonry item is absorbing water, as evidenced by a simple color change in the item once water is applied, that item should probably be waterproofed. Water expands when it freezes, and if a masonry item is absorbing water during the winter months, that item is susceptible to water freeze/thaw damage.


Wood Restoration and Staining


Hydro Scrub provides complete wood restoration services for many exterior items. Our wood restoration services include sanding, stripping, sealing (some people call this waterproofing) and clear or colored finish application with "natural", semi-transparent, semi-solid or solid colored stains. Sorry, but we do not strip latex paint off house surfaces and we generally only undertake minor painting tasks. If you are looking to paint, not stain, an entire wood house, we will refer you to a painting contractor. However, if you have you have a log home or one constructed of redwood- or cedar-siding and desire a natural wood finish, we welcome your inquires as to how we can provide service to you.


Flood Clean-Up Services


Hydro Scrub offers flood clean-up services to those individuals and facilities unfortunate to have experienced such trying events. While our services can include the pump-out of water from a flooded building, we prefer to be called to handle the removal of the resultant silt, dirt, slime, etc. left behind once the major portion of flood waters have been removed. Items which have been exposed to flood waters can be washed of silt, dirt, etc. disinfected and then allowed to dry. Unfortunately, we do not provide waste hauling services, but can assist you in arranging for such services.


Epoxy Floor Coating


If you have a desire for an epoxy coated floor in a garage, shop facility or other area, Hydro Scrub can provide surface preparation and finish application. Sorry, but we do not provide existing epoxy floor coating removal services, such as bead blasting or dyna-brading.

Epoxy floor coatings are a fantastic way to improve the appearance of an old, stained, dirty floor, while at the same time providing for easier clean-up of spills ranging from fertilizers to oil. Epoxy floors sweep easier than uncoated floors, and a routine once a year cleaning with some soap, a large push broom and a garden hose is all it normally takes to return the floor back to a "like new" condition.


Caulking


During power washing, we are provided with an excellent opportunity to observe the details of a building and assess its needs for repair. Typically, when we are done washing a building, we inform the client of all the "problem areas" or items which need repair before leaving their property. All too often, poor caulking or the need to repair caulking is reported and customers typically ask if we provide such services. In 2007, as a result of customer inquiries, Hydro Scrub began offering caulking services. However, we do not provide caulking services as a stand alone item.


Exterior Window Cleaning


Hydro Scrub can provide exterior window cleaning services for those customers undergoing exterior building washing services. We do not provide window cleaning services as a stand alone item. If you have a commercial building with difficult to reach or an extensive number of windows, Hydro Scrub has established a strategic alliance with a window cleaning firm and can either direct you to contract directly with that firm or can include that firm as a subcontractor to our services.


Paint Preparation for Others


If you have a do-it-yourself project or are working with a painting contractor who simply would rather not prep power wash your project, Hydro Scrub can fulfill your needs. We can prep power wash your aluminum siding, wood painted surface or other to be painted surface in a timely, cost-effective manner with professional results.
